Aston Martin Cygnet

The Aston Martin Cygnet is a luxury microcar manufactured by Aston Martin and derived from the Toyota IQ. Its purpose is to allow Aston Martin to comply with the strict emissions rule by the European Union in place in 2012[1]. Cygnet will be available initially only in the UK, and then to other EU countries.
Aston CEO Ulrich Bez recently announced shipping expectations of about 4000 per year at a price of about £30,000.[2] Bez states that the Cygnet demonstrates the companies commitment to innovation and integrity, whist respecting the need to satisfy demands of emissions and space.
The Cygnet has 98 bhp (73 kW; 99 PS) 1.3L straight-4 engine, it produces 110g of CO2/km and the fuel consumption is 58.9 mpg-US (3.99 L/100 km; 70.7 mpg-imp).[3]
In the recent "Top Gear Season 15, Episode 3", the Cygnet was recently made fun of in the "News" section of the program. Presenters Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond all unanimously expressed distaste for the concept.
After six months of announcing berkongsi with Toyota, super luxury car manufacturer Aston Martin, Wednesday (16/12) announced that it will market the tiny city car named the Aston Martin Cygnet. Although not explicitly mentioned particulars engine capacity that will be used, but the manufacturer claims to use a base Toyota iQ Cygnet.
Aston Martin to explain that later Cygnet will go to the luxury segment city car and will be marketed in 2011. He has a handmade leather-clad interior is unique with 4 seats and a series of Aston Martin's unique color.
Each unit will be assembled by hand at the headquarters of Aston Martin, Gaydon, England. So all kinds of combinations of color, trim, and finishing possible.
Cygnet who took the base of the Toyota IQ has been equipped with security devices and feature enhancements class with premium cars, such as ABS, nine airbags, stability control, eletronic brake assist, and retractable mirrors. While the interior features are keyless entry and start, heated seats, and GPS. All of that got into the car only 3 meters in length.
