The Saleen S281 is a variant of the Ford Mustang that was produced by the American manufacturer Saleen, Inc. Throughout its time, with the latest designed body kits, the S281 has departed from the Mustang related designs and much become more of a model of its own design (most noticeably the 2005 - 2009 S281 model).

Previously referred as a Saleen Mustang, this Mustang now introduced a model designation based on the cubic cylinders of the engine for the very first time (4.6L = 281cid -> S281)
